In order to provide Library patrons with the opportunity to enjoy a variety of cultural experiences, the Library offers an Adventure Pass Program.
Passes are available to borrow at the Library on a first come, first served basis. No holds are accepted on Adventure Passes.
To borrow an Adventure Pass under the Library's Adventure Pass Program, a patron must have a good-standing Bossard Library card and be at least 18 years of age. Adventure Passes are loaned according to the guidelines of the participating venues in the Library's Adventure Pass Program. No renewals are permitted on Adventure Passes.
A patron may only borrow pass(es) from one participating venue at any given time. Passes may only be used by the patron on whose Library card the pass is borrowed and their accompanying party, if applicable. A patron may not borrow an Adventure Pass for the same venue for consecutive months, and may not borrow an Adventure Pass more than three times per year for the same venue.
All patrons borrowing an Adventure Pass agree to abide by the rules of the respective venue to which the pass provides access. Failure to follow the borrowing policies of the Library and/or failure to follow the policies of the venue may result in the patron being denied future access to any Adventure Pass.
Depending on the participating venue, the Library may require return of a physical Adventure Pass to the Library. The patron will be assessed late fees according to the Library's overdue fine schedule for overdue or lost Adventure Passes, if applicable.
Borrowing patrons acknowledge that, before visiting venues, liability waivers and agreements may be required by the Library and/or venue. Additional rules and regulations also may be imposed by participating venues. The Library is not responsible for the content or requirements of any waivers, agreements, rules, or regulations imposed or required by the venue.
As a condition of participating in the Library's Adventure Pass Program, all participants, including parents/guardians of minors who participate, acknowledge and give consent for the Library to share their personal information and that of their minor child with external venues for administrative purposes connected with the Adventure Pass. This information includes patron name, minor child's name, and the address, phone number, birthdate, and the last four digits of the Library barcode for the patron and minor child (if applicable). This sharing of information is necessary to inform the venue which patrons have borrowed the passes and are permitted access to the venue.
In addition, borrowing patrons agree as a condition of receiving an Adventure Pass to allow a participating venue to share with the Library the number of times the borrower's Adventure Pass has been utilized and whether the venue has restricted or prohibited the borrower from visiting the venue.
The borrowing patron and all members of their party using the Adventure Pass, as well as the legal parent or guardian of any minor participating in the Adventure Pass program, agree to hold harmless the Library, its Board of Trustees, officials, and staff from any liability arising from the use of the Adventure Pass Program.
