The Library's new StoryWalk title is now on display at the French Art Colony.
Our title for January/February is Cold Turkey written by Corey Rosen Schwartz and Kirsti Call; illustrated by Chad Otis.
"Turkey woke up c-c-cold.
He wheezed, 'It's ten degrees!
I need to b-b-bundle up,
before I f-f-freeze'"
Before he sets out on his walk, Turkey bundles up in his cold weather gear.
As he goes around the barnyard, he meets Sheep, Chicken, Cow and some of his other friends who are even colder than he is.
Turkey decides to share his clothing with his friends, one by one, to help keep them warm. Soon he is down to his birthday suit and is back to being a cold Turkey.
Will his friends come up with a solution to make him a toasty Turkey?

StoryWalk is a way for children and adults to enjoy both the great outdoors and great children's books. Follow the pages of the story as you walk from frame to frame along the path. StoryWalk promotes literacy, physical activity, and parent/caregiver involvement.
The StoryWalk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg Hubbard Library. StoryWalk is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
